Bend’s festival culture is a strong one–strong enough even to withstand the cold of Central Oregon’s winter, as Oregon Winterfest proves. The event promises three days of live music, drink, food, non-musical live performances and all-around merriment.
Headliners include Boxcar Stringband, Precious Byrd, Bodeans, Toast and Jam, Mowo, and A Night of Bowie. But music isn’t everything here: Winterfest also features 10 Barrel Brewing’s Rail Jam, fire pits, ice sculptures, a marketplace, light art, a gourmet pavillion, 5k fun run, a dance party, and even canine performances in the form of JD Platt’s K-9 Kings.
That’s a lot of a lot of things. But to make a long story short, this is where you’ll want to be in Bend the weekend of February 15. For more details on the all-around awesomeness, visit Winterfest’s home page.
